WNCW staffers are gearing up for the station's annual LIVE Goin' Across The Mountain show which will be held this Saturday, January 18, at The Foundation For Performing Arts Center, located here on the campus of Isothermal Community College, in Spindale, North Carolina.

Look who's coming back! One of the sweetest couples in contemporary bluegrass, and one of THE voices in Newgrass, for a wonderful union of talent and spirit.

A part of Isothermal Community College is The Foundation Performing Arts and Conference Center, where each season a fantastic lineup of guest performers visit the area to perform.  WNCW's Friday Feature Interview of the Week had a visit from Foundation Director- Russell Wicker on August 3, 2018.  Listen as Wicker goes over the 2018-19 lineup, featuring some familiar names in the music business.

On August 17th The Foundation Performing Arts Center, on the campus of Isothermal Community College in Spindale, NC is honored to host a special free concert featuring one of the US Navy’s best touring music ensembles.

Alternately known as the King of Telluride and the King of Newgrass, at age 57 Sam Bush has already been honored with a lifetime achievement award by the Americana Music Association and the International Bluegrass Music Association. Before his show on Saturday at The Foundation on the campus of Isothermal Community College in Spindale, NC, he will stop by the station during Goin' Across the Mountain on Saturday at 2:30pm for an interview.

Here in Western North Carolina, the Piedmont and into South Carolina, there is no shortage of high-quality entertainment in a wide variety and to suit every taste - from children to adults. Over the next couple of weeks, I'll touch base with three organizations in order to give a cross-section of what is available for those in search of a good night out....or an afternoon out...or a morning, out for that matter. The first of these sources of great entertainment is the Performing Arts Center right here on the campus of Isothermal Community College.
