Hear all about the Pisgah-Nantahala national forest draft management plan for the next 20 plus years, as this Friday Feature spotlights ECO Foresters in Western North Carolina with its Communications Director Lang Hornthal.  Lang also provides information on invasive species that try and take over the forests and what's known as The Sandy Mush Forest Restoration Project.  This interview aired August 30, 2019.

NEA Wants Congress to Close Tax Loopholes

The President of the National Education Association, Dr. Dennis Van Roekling, talks about how easy it would be to solve the tax issue if legislators would just close corporate tax loopholes that allow many large corporations to avoid paying any taxes at all. He then talks about how just a few loopholes account for $3 Trillion in uncollected taxes which could be used for education, health care, job creation and to pay down debt.
