The Blue Ridge Parkway is known as "America's Favorite Drive," and in a few days, one of America's favorite events, located right off the Parkway in Floyd, Virginia, begins. FloydFest 19 organizers will open the gates July 24th and welcome fans from all of the world. They'll enjoy a five-day celebration of music and art, while basking in the beauty of the majestic Blue Ridge Mountains of Southwest Virginia. Oh yeah...

Bonnaroo 2019 is here! Are you going to the farm? We know lots of our WNCW friends and fans are going to Bonnaroo. Better get your tickets now if you have not done so already... they're going quick! Here's some basic info you need to know about camping and directions. Ticket info is at the bottom of this post.

Festivals dates are June 13-16 in Manchester, Tennessee.

WNCW Program Director Joe Kendrick is back with his popular podcast On The Way Up. Each episode features some of the best tunes that are either fresh out of the shrink wrap, or just making their way into the hearts of WNCW listeners. Kendrick said in this episode, we'll go back and look at some of the songs that were played the most on WNCW for the first ten months of 2018. "We are almost set to begin voting for the top releases of the year in making our top 100," said Kendrick. "That voting will begin after Thanksgiving.
