WNCW's Summer Outback Opry Drive-in Concert Series is wrapping up with the season finale featuring the Steep Canyon Rangers on October 2nd at 8pm. The show will be "out back" in the parking lot of The Foundation Performing Arts Center at Isothermal Community College in Spindale, NC.
The Steep Canyon Rangers are GRAMMY award winners from Asheville, NC. Their music is no stranger to the Billboard charts, and they frequently collaborate with renowned banjoist and comedian Steve Martin. They are releasing a new album, Arm in Arm, on October 16. WNCW is thrilled to have them close out our drive-in series.
As was the case with each of the previous shows, vehicles will be apropriately spaced so those attending can roll down their windows and enjoy the show. Lawn chairs are welcome in designated areas in front of your vehicle. No tents, pop up shelters, umbrellas, or covered chairs will be allowed. In case of rain, the show will be broadcast via a low power FM transmitter and the show can be watched while listening on your car radio. No food vendors will be present, so we invite you to bring your own food. Port-A-Johns and handwashing stations will be provided. Pickups and oversized vehicles will be parked at the rear of the lot. To make sure everyone feels safe and comfortable, please maintain proper social distancing and comply with the current CDC guidelines and NC Governor's orders.
A special thanks goes out to our partners at the Earl Scruggs Music Festival for helping to make this show and series possible.
