This Sunday, on Studio B Rewind, Kim Clark will share music and interviews from a session with one of Brevard, North Carolina's favorite singer/songwriters, Dave Desmelik. He visited WNCW with an Army of Love featuring Laura Blackley, Jane Kramer, Alexa Rose, Mike Guggino, & Mike Ashworth. They joined Desmelik for a very special session, to play music and talk about the band's benefit concert to help raise awareness about pediatric illness. The event will be held at 7:30pm - Thursday, January 3rd at The Grey Eagle in Asheville, NC. Next week, Desmelik, will also be joined by other members of An Army of Love including Amanda Anne Platt, Andrew Scotchie, Jay Brown & Aditi Sethi-Brown, Jimmy Davidson and Rob Brown, Melissa Hyman & Ryan Furstenberg, Aaron "Woody" Wood and Shannon Wentworth. WNCW is extremely proud to be a Media Sponsor of this event. Check out this videoabout it. They'll be performing songs from Desmelik's new album, CHILDHOOD BATTLES - a collection of original songs created with the goal of raising awareness about pediatric illness. Proceeds from the album and the event will go to the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation, Make-A-Wish Central & Western NC, and Angel Flight Soars. The event is a Grey Eagle and Mountain Song Production. #loveheals
