The Tryon Fine Arts Center in western North Carolina has a unique program called the Pacolet Junior Appalachian Music Program. PacJAM provides an opportunity for area youth to experience community through the joy of participating in traditional music. During this Friday Feature which aired July 24, 2020 we learned about the Arts Center and the PacJAM Program from Marianne Carruth, Tryon Fine Arts Center Executive Director, and PacJAM Director Julie Moore. They also talked about a virtual concert that has now concluded called Arabic and Appalachian Fusion.
