Kim Clark

Music Host

A native of western North Carolina, Kim Clark was originally with WNCW from 1996 until 2008, serving at various times as underwriting assistant, interim Development Director, morning music host, Morning Edition host, Local Color host, Assistant Program Director, and Program Director. Readers of Asheville's Mountain Xpress voted her one of their favorite local radio personalities for three years in a row, 2004-2007. After several years hiatus in which she concentrated on historical projects for several western NC towns, she is back on the radio with Dig, sharing her personal collection of 1960s pop music.

Ways to Connect

Studio B has been a busy place in the past month! This week we'll catch up on a couple of those recent performances. Guitarist Hiroya Tsukamoto stopped by WNCW on his way to a show in Asheville, NC and enchanted us with his innovative and layered style, influenced by the music of his native Japan and by the music native to our area. We'll also listen to a session with Band of Heathens, the Austin roots-rock powerhouse. The band stopped by Studio B while in the area playing shows in support of the group's new album Duende.
