Stina Sieg speaks with Steve Lloyd, the executive director of Haywood Arts Regional Theatre, about HART's latest musical. "La Cage aux Folles" is currently enjoying its first run in WNC thanks to HART, something that Lloyd couldn't have imagined even 10 years ago. Lloyd talks about how "La Cage's" subject matter (involving gay parents) has gone over better than he thought it would in Waynesville, where HART is based. Also, he discusses HART's planned second stage, which would vault the theater company to the status of Flat Rock Playhouse and other local repertory theaters with continuous seasons. "La Cage" runs through July 29th.
