"Stax '68: A Memphis Story" Friday, December 14th from 10pm to Midnight

1968 was a transformative year for both America and American music. The social, cultural, and political upheaval that year was captured well by the artists and recordings of Stax Records. From Otis Redding's tragic death in December of '67, through the chaos sparked by the assassinations of MLK and RFK, Stax was a beacon of musical harmony in the midst of a segregated era. Join us as Kim Clark guides us through a two-hour special of "Stax '68: A Memphis Story", highlighting the many hits, B-sides, and more that have recently been released in honor of this 50th anniversary.

Also, enter to win one of a number of prizes, from 5-track digital downloads; to 5-CD packs of the Staple Singers, Isaac Hayes, William Bell, Johnnie Taylor, & Albert King; to the Grand Prize of a 5-CD box set of "Stax '68: A Memphis Story", complete with a wonderful 56-page booklet! Many thanks to Stax/Craft Recordings/Concord Music for this special!
