Dave Desmelik and An Army of Love: Creating Awareness For Pediatric Illness Through Music

On Tuesday, December 4th, one of Brevard, North Carolina's favorite singer/songwriters, Dave Desmelik, returned to WNCW, this time with an Army of Love! Laura Blackley, Jane Kramer, Alexa Rose, Mike Guggino, & Mike Ashworth joined him for a very special session, to play music and talk about the band's benefit concert to help raise awareness about pediatric illness. The event will be held at 7:30pm - Sunday, December 9th at The Grey Eagle in Asheville, NC. This weekend, Desmelik, will also be joined by other members of An Army of Love including Amanda Anne Platt, Andrew Scotchie, Jay Brown & Aditi Sethi-Brown, Jimmy Davidson and Rob Brown, Melissa Hyman & Ryan Furstenberg, Aaron "Woody" Wood and Shannon Wentowrth. WNCW is extremely proud to be a Media Sponsor of this event. Check out this videoabout it. They'll be performing songs from Desmelik's new album, CHILDHOOD BATTLES - a collection of original songs created with the goal of raising awareness about pediatric illness. Proceeds from the album and the event will go to the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation, Make-A-Wish Central & Western NC, and Angel Flight Soars. It truly was an amazing session. Here are a few photos featuring Dave Desmelik and some of the members of An Army of Love. We'll post a video on WNCW's You Tube Channel soon! The event is a Grey Eagle and Mountain Song Production. #loveheals
