Emmylou Harris, Tim O'Brien, Del McCoury, James King....these are just a few of the respected singers and songwriters who have covered this Nashville songwriter's great work over the years. His latest LP Don't Try to Fight It is yet another favorite of ours here at WNCW. His area gigs include an in-the-round with Scott Miller and Tommy Womack in Balsam, NC on Saturday the 12th, and a "Liberty Circus" fundraiser benefit for immigrant refugees with Malcolm Holcolmbe and others in Knoxville on Wednesday the 16th. (A solo show of his own in Asheville on Sunday the 20th has been rescheduled to a later date.)
