"I knew that I was interested in radio early in life -- I still vividly recall my first exposure to a control room at ASU while attending Camp Broadstone, and it was like lightning had struck. I remember listening intently to radio as a child, and "Live and Let Die" by Wings was one of my first favorites. Mom recently told me that once, I came up to her and Dad when I was three and said, “Did you know Paul McCartney was in a band before Wings?” I did my first show here at WNCW after graduating college and moving to the area in the fall of 1991; my first airshift was that winter. Back then the volunteers did a show called "World Alternative", after which the station went off the air at 2AM. I also got into a rotation of doing every other Friday night's "Crossroads" show here for a good while. I left town in June of '93 and came back in the fall of '95, immediately getting back on the air for ARC Overnight. In '96 I started a business as a franchise a national landscape lighting company which was then just a handful of folks in North and South Carolina, and I’ve been running that ever since. In '97 I became coordinator of ARC Overnight and have been doing that to this day as well. Over the years I have been on the air here at just about any hour of the day, and mostly overnight at first, though my appearances have been much more frequent since '03.
