Tony Fields is proud to celebrate the beginning of his eighth year spinning blues on Sat. Night House Party on WNCW. He originally hails from New York, where he got his start in radio on WBAI as a producer, engineer, writer and disc jockey. He has lived in South Carolina since 1997. He deems it an honor to be a member of the WNCW family and believes the radio station to be a real cultural oasis of the Southeast.

Steve Hecht tells us: "My public radio debut was in 1980 while a student in Binghamton NY. My first show on WNCW was in February of 2005. I've been involved in the blues world since my college days, when I did blues radio and promoted blues concerts at the school. Since '85 I've been a booking agent for the top blues performers, starting my own company in 1989. I received a KBA (Keeping The Blues Alive) award from the Blues Foundation and was a member of the Board Of Directors from 1997 to 2003. My life long love of music was fueled by the availability of public radio station in the New York area when I was growing up which exposed me to the myriad alternatives to commercial radio. I still harbor my life long dream of one day becoming a beekeeper."
